You’ve heard of the internet of things, an omnipresent network of chattering devices sharing data, but how often have you heard that you might be integrated into it, not just tapping into it but constantly sharing with it untold amounts of data about your physical and mental state, what you are doing, who you are interacting with? ‘The world’s most connected man’ here introduces us to the concept of Existence as a Platform, how we might all become vastly more connected with our devices and with other people, and asks us to ponder the impact of this on things such as safety, privacy and even new forms of consciousness.
