I studied Law with a specialisation in Intellectual Property Rights. My first job was in the field of television production. Broadcasting has been a common thread throughout my career. Both on the creative side as well in technology. In the second half of the 90’s I started in an IT company. They delivered administrative systems and database technology to media companies and big corporations, like banks and insurance companies. My responsibility was business development in the publishing market and an innovative document management system. Just before the millennium change I was asked to lead the management buy out of the research and development department of the biggest internet company in Europe at the time. We were at the forefront of interactive application development and mobile games. Since 2009 I am a seasoned entrepreneur and mentor in the field of app start-ups. I also was a lecturer in media, IT and business at five academies in The Netherlands. Topics of expertise are digital innovation and business modelling. I like to call myself a thought leader in the field of marketing and disruptive technology. I created a ground breaking system for risk analysis in the fields of regulatory technology and impact analysis in sustainability. This was for example applied in mental health assessments, specifically burnout risk. Currently I am working for a joint venture in the field of broadcast technology and AI for researchers in behavioural science.
